We received 10 inches of snow today. We were able to keep the kids inside all morning but after lunch we headed outside. Grant remained focused on getting his car out so he could be able to work tomorrow.
We had to always be on lookout because we never knew when we would be slammed with a shovel of snow.
The kids had a blast. Not really sure what Addyson was doing here but I’m pretty sure she was planning on getting the snow off Hayden’s hat.
We celebrated Hayden’s birthday at the local bowling alley this year with about eight of his closest friends.
I forget how wild boys can be when there really isn’t any structure. It made glad they weren’t all spending the night.
Little sisters got to bowl as well. 
Addyson was a little shy at first and wanted help. Before long she was bowling just like the boys. I was so proud they treated her like an equal and not a pesky little sister.
Hayden seemed to have a blast hanging out with his friends. His friends screamed Happy Birthday before he blew out the candles.

The kids have had their share of sickness this winter. We have had the flu, strep throat, and no two rounds of the stomach bug. We can’t wait for winter.
One of the perks of my job is getting to dress up for different occasions. Here my teaching partner Jana and I were dressed up for the 100th day of school.
Mom surprised us one day at school. We got to visit with her after school and she was able to see the school perform the Christmas musical before anyone else.
This is one of Addyson’s recent tricks. She will get her jacket on while it is still hanging on the wall.
While making cookies Hayden was mad because he didn’t an apron. He made his own out of a Wal-Mart sack.
Grant had the week after Christmas off work. The men were still working in our house fixing up our floors, so we headed to Nashville for a couple of days to relax.
We started our visit at Opry Mills watching movies and playing games. The next day we walked around the beautiful Opryland Hotel and and paid a small fortune to see the exhibit ICE.
We took advantage our the beautiful surroundings and took some pictures.
Everyone had fun at ICE but we were glad to be warm again. The slide was the favorite part for the kids.
New Year’s eve we went to church at Pottsville. After services they had a game night. Addyson was super excited to see her camp friend Piper. We had a wonderful time and sand in the new year with great friends.
The kids preformed a pirate Christmas program as school this year. It was nice to have both kids in the same school and the same program. Hayden is always lucky to be on the front row. Addyson is a little taller than her classmates so it was harder to take pictures of her.
The kids were allowed to open one present on Christmas eve. Addyson opened some Legos. She and I worked hard to put them together. Hayden got Disney Infinity 2.0. Grant and Hayden had a blast playing together.
Christmas morning was still filled with excitement. One of the gifts Hayden was most excited about was his magic 8 ball. Addyson loved going through her stocking.
We had Christmas brunch over at Deedee and Poppy’s house. Sweet Lilly was adorable.
Debby and Larry opened special quilts that Allison had made them. IT was suppose to be a surprise but Debby happen to see hers early.
The Sunday after Christmas we went to Sebree to celebrate with the Tapp side of the family.
