Think...Think...Think

I was thinking that I really needed to post some new pictures of Hayden. I asked him if I could take his picture and apparently he had to think about it.

He did eventually smile for me. He is talking more every day. He told me tonight that he wanted pizza hut for supper. Although he was very cute when he said it, he didn't get what he wanted.

Long Time No Post

It has been a long time since I have updated. Lack of things going on is not the reason either. Just the opposite. We have been so busy I don't think I have picked up my camera in over a week. I guess it all started about two weeks ago when we were home for the weekend visiting Mom and Dad. Dad told me that he wanted Grant and I to start the process of adopting a child again, and he would help us financially. Since this is something that we have wanted to do for a long time but didn't know how we were going to swing it we jumped on the opportunity.
Needless to say I have been up to my ears in paperwork. The process is moving at the speed of lightning, or at least it seems that way. Tomorrow we are having our home study interview and house inspection. It can be a little nerve racking having a stranger look in every closet of your house. We are ready for it though.
That is not the only thing keeping me busy. Besides the usual stuff of working forty plus hours a week, caring for Hayden, and for Grant, :) I am also taking some masters classes. If I work it right I should graduate with my Master is Reading and Writing in May. I am very excited because it will also mean a nice pay raise.

A quick update on Hayden. He has transitioned well back at Ms. Cindy's after a wonderful summer. He is doing extremely well using the potty and is even talking more. He can say most of his ABC's with me and count to ten. He is still obsessed with tractors. A little boy at daycare this week was playing with one of his new tractors Uncle Kaleb got him and Hayden bit the boy because he wanted it back. I am not happy that Hayden bit someone but I am glad he stood up for himself.

We will spend the next three weekends with my family. Next weekend is a big party at Uncle Keith's house. I will take my camera with me and promise to post pictures. The following weekend is a family reunion followed by a weekend at the lake. I have really enjoyed spending so much time with my family lately. It is just sad that it has taken Dad getting sick for us to start spending quality time together.

Well, my house is clean, my boy is in bed, so I think it is time for me to get in my pj and realx.

Farm Magazines

Hayden and dad have a special bond that I can't really describe. Hayden knows where GG keeps his farm magazine and will go find one and sit on GG's lap and look at all the pictures together.

They can spend a good fifteen minutes looking at the same magazie. It warms my heat to know how much Hayden loves his GG. We were in a meeting Monday afternoon and someone asked Hayden if he was going to farm with Uncle Kaleb. Hayden said, "No GG" He wanted to farm with his GG.

GG taught Hayden this weekend the difference between two of his toy tractors. Hayden can now point out the John Deere tractor and the Ford tractor.

Playing Tractor

I was in the kitchen yesterday afternoon washing dishes when I heard Hayden making tractor/truck sounds. I went to see what exactly he was playing with and this is what I saw.

He was pretending the clothes basket was his tractor.

The first week of school went pretty well. It is always an extremely busy week, but I have some great students. I think I am going to have a good school year. Hayden and I are heading to Sebree tomorrow to visit with family and eat some fresh sweet corn. Yum! Yum!

Picture Day @ the Tapp's

Yesterday we took to the road again to visit the Tapp side of the family. We had a photo shoot planned on the farm for the morning. While the pictures were taking place Hayden played with his great granddaddy on his kubota. He really wanted to drive it.

Later he found it without anyone in it. Hayden tried to take Haddie for a ride. Aren't they cute.

Katie had told me earlier in the week that she was bringing a surprise to Granny's house. Boy did she have a wonderful surprise. It was a one of those blow up jumpy toys. She put it in the basement of Granny's house and the kids jumped away.

Later we headed to Grammy and GG's house for a nap. We played for awhile when everyone woke up. We also had company come visit. We started to head home around 6:30. Dad was getting tired and they have a lot of decisions to make.
