Schools out for summer......almost!!

Today was the last day of school for my students. Unfortunately for me I have to go to meetings Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Even though I have a ton of things to do before I am officialy out, I am excited!

I can't wait to stay home with Hayden and play. We don't have any big trips planned but I hope to visit family and take lots of day trips. This week has been a good week for Hayden on the potty so hopefully this will continue when we are home more.

Outside Fun

We have had a lot of fun the last two days outside between rain showers. It will rain for about ten or fifteen minutes and then we will head back outside. Hayden is loving his swingset.

We have been looking for a way to keep Hayden happy on the potty. He likes his privacy (who doesn't) but he wasn't happy when we left the room. This book has been the trick the past couple of days. He loves looking at the tractors.

We did finish the swingset yesterday. Grant worked between rain showers and then his wonderful family came and together we were able to finish it around 6:30. I will post pictures of us putting it together tomorrow.

Phase 1&2 Complete

Phase 1 and 2 are complete....only 18 more phases to go. We started building this yesterday afternoon while Hayden was sleeping. If we were more aware of the forcast we may have kept going.
Hopefully when we are done it will look like this.

Unfortunatley, since Grant came home we do not have a dry day in the forcast until next weekend.

New Website

I found out about this new website last night called http://www.picnik.com/ It is a website that you can edit your photos. I am so excited. I have wanted a program to be ableto edit my photos for awhile. I have just started but I love the fact that I can write on the picture, put a border around it, and if I felt like it put a sticker on it. I am sure there are many more things that I can do but I am still learning. Thanks Heather for letting me know about this amazing website.

Hayden and I are making it okay with out Grant. We miss him a lot but we have been staying busy. We hosted a spa party at my house last night. Several ladies from school came over and we were pampered. Tomorrow night we have the Spring Fling at school so we are on the go.

It's a bird...no it's a plane....

The other day we were outside and Hayden heard an airplane but then became distracted by a bird flying around.

He was so interested in them both. I wish I had a pair of sunglasses for the boy because he was having trouble seeing.

Hayden loves to rides his tricycle in the driveway because it is sloped downward. Since his legs are long enough to push the peddlas he will just lift his feat and coast down. When he starts going to fast he will turn the wheel and head for the grass. He will do this over and over and over again.
We are not putting up the swingset yet because of all the rainy weather and the fact that Grant is going away to banking school in Memphis this week. He leaves tomorrow morning and won't be back until Friday. He is taking my computer with him so I am not sure if I will be able to post pictures while he is gone.

Hayden is so happy because he has
been able to play outside the past two days without rain interfering.

Hayden lined up all his vehicles. He then when to each one and drove it and then parked it back into his spot.

Hayden loves the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show. His favorite part is the hotdog dance. He tries to sing it to let me know that he wants to watch it.

Hayden is showing you a preview of what will be built in our backyard soon. By the way if anyone knows anything about putting a swingset together we could use all the help we can get.

My mother's day!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. Saturday we went out to eat with Debby, Mamma Jo, Daddy Damon, Aunt Cindy and Jon. Sunday morning we drove to Madisonville to church and then went to Granny's for lunch.

This is one of the better pictures that I have of Mom and Dad.

Kelby was even in a good mood. He allowed me to take a picture of him with Mom.

Hayden loved riding around the farm with GG and Poogie.

Don't Eat the Bubbles!!

Hayden thinks it is hilarious to eat the bubbles in the bath. It has turned into a game. When he thinks I am not looking he will try to eat the bubbles.

Then after he puts some in his mouth he will give me a big smile and then spits it out. I will for the millionth time tell him "Don't eat the bubbles!"

Pictureless

We have been really busy this week. I haven't had my camera out at all. This past weekend we celebrated Grant's birthday with his family with homemade pizza. Yum Yum!
This week at school we are staying thirty extra minutes every day in order to make up time from the ice storm. Monday after school Hayden and I went to Benton to go car shopping with Grant. He found a car that looks exactly like mine except that it is a little smaller. We are calling it Mini Me
Tuesday I had a meeting after school so Grant and Hayden went to Walmart and then played outside with other kids in the neighborhood. Last night we went down the street to celebrate a wonderful little boy's 3rd birthday.
Tonight I have to catch up on grading papers for Friday folders. I love being so busy but there are several things around our house that need to be done. I really need to get my camera out too.

Sad Day

The sad day has come when Hayden no longer wants me to rock him to sleep. This past week after we read our books and say our prayers he points to his bed and asks to go lay down. My little boy is growing up. I know this is a good thing, but I really miss rocking him. Why do they have to grow up so fast.

I love to read, and this is one thing that I hope I can pass on to Hayden. I love to walk into a room and see him reading. He really seems to enjoy looking at books and what I would call a two year old reading.
