After Easter Naps

We came home from Church Easter Sunday and had lunch and sent the kids straight for a nap.  (I don’t think they really slept.)

When they “woke” up we headed to Dede and Poppy’s house for a fun afternoon outside. 

Hayden brought his bike over and rode everywhere. 

Addyson played everywhere!! 

We gathered wood for a bond fire.  Addyson once again was everywhere!  

Layken wanted to play baseball so they started playing catch. 

 

Pretty Lilly was in a good mood and was fun to play with! 

The kids are working on keeping their hotdogs out of the fire.  I don’t think Addyson was very successful with that.

Easter 2014

We had a wonderful Easter weekend.  It was full of family and fun outside!  The Easter bunny came and brought the kids lots of goodies! 

Sunday morning the kids smiled brightly for the camera! 

Saturday afternoon we hunted eggs at the park with the Tapp side of the family.  Adalee rode with us and had a wonderful time.

It was hard to catch the kids in action this year.  They were too fast.  I only caught Hayden opening his eggs.  I like how he went off by himself to do that. 

Both kids had so much fun playing with everyone especially Jo.

Spring Break–Thursday & Friday

Thursday we stayed close to home because of the threat for severe weather. 

Friday we convinced Grant to skip work and we headed to Union City to the Discovery America Museum.  The kids and I have been here before but this was Grant’s first time.  He enjoyed building blocks in the kid section. 

Hayden wanted to build a tower just like his dad and he did a pretty good job!

We went down the human slide.  I went first to meet the kids at the bottom.  This is what I saw after I came down.  Addyson was not impressed.  She started crying so I wasn’t able to get pictures of Hayden or Grant coming down. 

One thing that we were unable to do the last time we visited was to see the train.  I was excited about seeing it today.  It was fun to see all the different types of train cars. 

Addyson loves having her picture made but my boys feel a little differently.  Grant did have fun blowing the train whistle. 

 

It was very windy outside today causing it to be pretty cool. 

We told Addyson that she was the one that cracked the bell after she rang it.  She thought she was going to be in trouble.  Grant enjoyed sitting down every time we found a place to watch a show.  The kids quickly caught on to this  and tried to hide all the tv’s from Grant. 

As we were about to leave we heard that the kids could touch a snake.  Hayden was really excited because all the books he has been bringing home from the library have been about snakes.  They both enjoyed this activity a lot. 

Tomorrow we will finish out spring break with a few small home improvement projects around the house. 

Spring Break–Tuesday/Wednesday

We left early Tuesday morning for a long over due visit to Abby’s house.  The kids woke up so excited.  I got to go shopping with my aunt Kirha in Evansville leaving the kids with Mom.

Hayden got his wish and was able to spend a few hours with Kaleb on the farm.  He was super excited!

Adalee came over after a while and the kids played dress up. 

They went outside in their dress-up clothes and attracted the attention of one of Mom’s neighbors, Greg.  He brought over a couple of his dogs.  Addyson was in animal heaven. 

Kelby just stopped by for a few minutes because he wasn’t feeling well.  He loves having his picture made (NOT) so I take it every chance I can. 

Heather, Hayden, and Adalee ran around playing with these nerf guns. 

The nerf gun just doesn’t look natural in Adalee’s hand.  She wanted to play like Hayden and Heather so bad.  She just didn’t have the strength needed to pull the trigger. 

Hayden and Adalee get along great.  I think a big part of it is that fact Hayden doesn’t want to play with the same toys Adalee does.  Addyson does want to play with the girly toys and Adalee is used to having them all to herself. 

Wednesday morning we went to the park to play.  We met Audra and Hadley there as well. 

All the kids were pretty excited about the train coming until he blew his loud horn. 

Mom seemed to be in heaven with all 4and 1/2 grandkids in the same place. 

 

Hadley is such a sweet girl!  She plays well with everyone!

We tried to get a picture of all the grandkids mom.  Hayden doesn’t always want to cooperate for pictures. 

We were past the point of wanting to take pictures here.   

Yes, Audra was there but since she is six month pregnant she got to just sit and watch all the action.
