5 Year Anniversary

Grant and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary on Saturday. We celebrated by going to Nashville and riding on the General Jackson showboat. This is a picture of us before we boarded. Grant wasn't really looking forward to the show but he liked it a lot.

This is the picture from the boat of downtown Nashville at sunset. It was really beautiful. We had a wonderful supper on the boat as well.

The show we saw was called NashVegas. I think the best part of the show was Tina Turner.

Grant really liked Elton John.

Elvis on the other hand struggled remebering the words to his songs at times.

The Past Week in Photos

This is what I walked outside to tonight after church.

Grant was cleaning out the grill and what he called "bathing" Hayden. I am not sure how clean Hayden was but he sure was soaked.

I love the look of anticipation on his face. He would clench his fist right before Grant would spray him. He absolutely loved it.

I love the look on his face!

This is from earlier in the week, when I took Hayden to the park to play with some of his friends from daycare. Ms. Cindy invited all the kids who are with their parents for the summer to come and play. Hayden really enjoyed playing with his friends.

Hayden's favorite part was the stairs and the tunnel. He would stay at one side of the tunnel until someone wanted to come through, then he would run to the other side andlet the person crawl over him.

Everytime he got off the slide he would run and drive the wheel and then go back.

Father's Day 2008

Happy Father's Day Grant!

Yesterday after church we went to my Uncle Keith's house for lunch. Below is a picture of everyone that came.

I am not sure who had more fun, Uncle Kaleb or Hayden.

This is a picture of all the new babies in the family.

It is rare that Hayden and I take a good picture together.

VBS 2008

Hayden has loved Vacation Bible School! He loves to sing and watch the skits. The skits have a dog named Cooper in them and shouts dog everytime he sees him.

This is Hayden in his class. Doesn't he look like a good student.

Hayden's favorite part of class is when the teacher blows bubbles.

My Mom Rules!

Hayden's shirt says it all...
Today we went for a check-up at the doctors. Hayden is still under weight but for his size he is healthy. He is almost caught up on immunizations. One more shot in six months and he will be good until he is four. Today Hayden has pulled this toy everywhere. Every once in awhile he will stop and play with it, and then walk it all over the house.

It was so hot this afternoon that I decided to get his baby pool out. Up until now he hasn't really wanted to do anything with a pool or sprinklers, so I wasn't expecting to much. It didn't take long before he realized how much fun it was.
Mom what am I suppose to do in here?
Hayden checking out the temperature of the water.

Hayden loved splashing!
He was so serious when he was splashing. It was like his job to splash all of the water out of the pool.

Hayden's First Tractor Ride

Before heading to Viriginia, Hayden and I went to visit GG in the field. He was planting corn.

Hayden wasn't to keen on the idea of taking a ride on the tractor. Once I got in with him, he seemed to enjoy it.

I really wanted a picture of Hayden inside the tractor tire. I couldn't do anything to make him smile.

A couple of days ago Grant and I were sitting on the couch. Hayden kept coming to us and then running to the back door. I could tell he really wanted to go outside. I told Hayden that if he went to get his shoes and bring them to me that I would take him outside. I didn't think he understood what I said. He dashed off. He brought me back both of his shoes with a big smile on his face.

He will also go and run into his room and lay down when I tell him that I need to change his diaper. I love how he is beginning to underand and talk to us.
