Christmas Part 2

Anyone who knows Hayden knows that he likes to move. Grammy and GG found a perfect present for Hayden, a powerwheels. It took Hayden awhile to figure out how to get the bike to go but once he did we can't stop him.

Both my brothers came home for lunch thinking that is when we were going to open presents. Unfortunately we weren't going to open presents utnil supper. Atleast I got to see them twice.

This is the present Kelby got Hayden for Christmas. As you can tell he absolutely loves it.

It did require him to concentrate a little.

Hayden loves GG so much!
I wish I had more pictures but my camera battery is so old. I have a new one ordered. I hope it arrives soon.

Christmas Part 1

We had a wonderful Christmas. We are just now getting home and unpacked. We spent the first part of our Christmas with Grant's side of the family.

Hayden had a lot of fun Christmas morning opening his presents from Santa. Santa brought him a bean bag with his name on it, a toy guitar, and Little Leaps.

We really enjoyed visitng with all our family.

Hayden had a thing about putting empty bags on his head and walking around the room.

Grant and Hayden are both on Anthony's back.

Hayden was attached to Layken. He loved watching her play with her Nintendo DS.
Hayden is scared of his new dinasaur. We have put it away for right now.

I will try to post more pictures of our Christmas with the Tapp's tomorrow. We had a lot of fun.

Sneaking Snacks

Hayden and I went to Walmart this morning for last minute groceries for Christmas. Hayden has started wanting to help me put the groceries away. I noticed that he found where I kept the raisins. He asked for some so I gave him a handful.
An hour later Hayden is playing and I am reading a book relaxing. Well, Hayden comes and sits by me and I notice that he is chewing on something. I look to see what it was. Sure enough it was raisins. He jumped up off the couch and I followed him. This is what I found.

My boy is sneaking snacks. Atleast they are healthy. I did move the raisins to a higher shelf. I can't believe that he is trying to sneak food.

Family and Fun

Last night we had Christmas at Dede and Poppy's house. Hayden had so much fun. I wish I knew how to upload video because the video is priceless of Hayden opening his brand new TRICYCLE!!! The tricycle comes with turn signals and a radio.

Poppy was so nice to push Hayden around the house since his feet don't quite touch the pedals yet.

Hayden would copy anything that Layken would do. Layken would spin around on the floor and not long after Hayden would be doing it to. He would stop for a moment to make sure Layken was still spinning.

Allison and Layken relaxing after opening presents.

I am not really sure why Anthony and Christy are so tickled.

Maybe it was this face. I love my husband!!!

Hayden is chillin after cruising around the house.

Hayden is playing with his train from Uncle Anthony.

Mr. Cool

Mr. Cool has been walking around my house. He is growing up way to fast.

The temperature can't seem to get above freezing leaving all the ice that came Monday night still on our road. So again for the third day in a row we are not in school. I would rather be in school today. I had so planned before Christmas break for my students. Tommorrow we should go back, but we will now have to cram in the winter musical, ar movie, and holiday parties. We will also lose the only two days off we have in February and March. They are even talking about us going back to school on January 2nd, which is a Friday. Yuck!

In the mean time we are still having fun at home. We are still going to go to Ms. Cindy's today for her Christmas party. I hope we can make it.

Snow Day

Instead of snow we received ice. Because of this we did not go outside and play. Instead we ate popcorn and watched movies, read books, and played with blocks.

We have another day off tomorrow. I think we will have to get out and go somewhere before we go stir crazy. Hayden and I both need to get out of the house. :)

A little behind

I am a little behind in posting pictures. The month of December is so busy. I had plans tonight to go shopping with 54 kids from school. We were going to take them to Chuck E Cheese and then shopping for clothes, but the weather is bad. Freezing rain and snow are falling as I write. I don't have school tomorrow so hopefully I will be able to get outside with Hayden and play.

Grammy and GG came last Monday to watch Hayden. Hayden and GG as so cute together.

Hayden thought GG's calculator was a phone. He would push some button and then put it up to his ear to talk.

Hayden still loves laundry baskets. He is becoming such a big helper. When I am folding clothes he will hand me my next piece of clothing.

Snack time around the house is getting challenging lately. He doesn't want to sit in his chair for snack. I am fine with him sitting in the floor and eating but he is wanting to carry his bowl of whatever around the house.

Time in time out

I know this picture cuts off part of his head but it is such a good picture of Hayden. He was laughing and running at the same time.

This is the spot that Hayden chose for time out. I really do not remember the reason he was sent here but I could tell he was going to try to get out. He was scooting out from the wall.

Then he layed down. He is looking to see if Daddy was watching.

The look of getting caught.
Yes, he was sent back to time out. Overall he is a very good boy and does not spend a whole lot of time here.

Christmas Spirit

We are in the Christmas spirit here. We have wrapped presents under the tree, reindeer antlers on our heads, but no butter cookies.... yet. Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without Grandma's famous butter cookies. I will baking them next weekend when I get a break from school. I can't wait to make them this year becasue Hayden will be able to help decorate.

1-2-3-Go

Hayden and I have a game that we play a lot lately. Hayden stays against a wall and I say 1-2-3-go. He runs to me and I fall backwards and lift him high in the air. Sometimes I will try to trick him and cound past three and he knows that he has to wait for the word go. He is so much fun to play with.

Quick update

We have been without internet for most of the week. Tuesday night's storm knocked it out. So here is just a quick update of Hayden from this week. He is hiding in the spare bedroom while Grant is on the computer.

Hayden absolutely loves this book. He likes it so much that he will kiss...

and hug the dog in the book.

Thanksgiving with the Orr's

We enjoyed a wonderful meal over at Dede's house on Friday night. It took Hayden a long time to warm up.

Uncle Anthony was trying to teach Layken a song on the piano but Hayden wanted to join.

This is the newest member of the family, Alexandra. She is so precious.

Allison and Debby.

Hayden showing Daddy the big "ap" or apple.

Poppy is giving Hayden a pecan. He liked it a lot.

Layken and Hayden play so well together.

Hayden was letting Poppy hold him until I got the camera out.
Yesterday we took a quick trip to Nashville with Allison and got most of our Christmas shopping done.

Thanksgiving with the Tapp's

We spent Thanksgiving Day with the Tapp's. This is a picture of the whole gang minus just a few.
Hayden struggled warming up to the group so Grammy gave Hayden a sucker and that seemed to do the trick.

Hayden was so cute with Haddie. Hayden would crawl around so that Haddie could keep up with him and Gavin.

Both Gavin and Hayden loved Haddie's car.

Shane was video taping the kids playing together. He turned the screen around to let the kids see themselves. When Hayden went up to the camera he stuck his tongue out every time. It was hilarious. He was such a ham.

Aunt Jo spinning Hayden.

Gavin is so precious.

Uncle Kaleb watching the Titans play football.

Katie and Kelby watching the kids play and eating desert.
We will be enjoying Thanksgiving with the Orr's tonight.
