Soccer Game #2

Okay...so the pictures are totally backwards and I don't have the energy to switch them all around. So you are going to live our day backwards. Right now Grant and Larry are outside working on putting vinel siding on the storage building in the backyard. I just hope it doesn't start storming on them.
Meanwhile Hayden is watching a movie, I am finishing up a paper for my Monday night class, and Addyson is reading books to her baby. It was just so sweet I had to take a picture.

Earlier this morning Addyson was cheering on her big brother on the soccer field.

About half way through the game Hayden lost his shoe and his sock got soaking wet. He was upset and needed a hug. But he was able to move past it and still do a great job.

Hayden got to play the majority of the game because his friend Jack didn't feel like playing. Hayden did a great job staying focused on playing. Yes, he did come over to me every time he scored to tell me he won, even if he scored for the other team.

There are many emotions during a soccer game. Below are just a few of Hayden's funny expressions.

Easter Parties

Thursday Hayden had an Easter party at school. I am lucky enough to work with some pretty amazing women that cover my class so I can be apart of Hayden's parties. Below Hayden is at Mrs. Penny's station. Hayden loves Ms. Penny. She is so sweet and kind. At the party there were three stations. The first one I missed but I think they were playing hot potato with an egg. The second one was dying some eggs, and the third they were sorting and counting easter marshmellows.

While the kids were participating in the station a group of parents were outside hiding eggs. It was so cold outside but Hayden was super excited!!
Friday both kids got to participate in an Easter Egg hunt and Ms. Cindy's house. Hayden hurt himself on a tent and couldn't get over it so he didn't have much fun, but Addyson sure did.
She even had a blast after finding all the eggs. She is dancing because of all the sugar she had been eating. Hayden was all playing ball with the boys. :)

First Soccer Game

Hayden's first soccer game was last night. He did really well the first half of the game. You can see in the first three pictures Hayden making his way to the goal.

He wants to make sure he really gets a goal so he takes it all the way in!!
There was also plenty of time for playing on the field as well. :)

Hayden and Jack are best buddies. They spend so much time together they fight like brothers. We learned that they do not need to be playing at the same time. Hayden got upset when Jack scored and Jack got upset when Hayden scored.

We shall see how the rest of the season progresses. His games are every Saturday morning at 10:00. Anyone is welcome to come watch all this fun.

Few Memories from this Week!

Addyson really enjoyed spring break especially being able to sleep in as late as she wants. I know she is not even two yet but the girl can be a bear to wake up. Grant and I have started waking her up slowing. First we just open her door a crack. Next, we will turn the hall light on, and finally we will go in, turn the light on, and pick out her clothes. Well...one day this week after we turned the light on Grant went to pick out her clothes. She jumped out of bed and climbed up on her couch. Grant didn't think much of it. She made sure Grant was looking at him before she turned the light back off and climbed into bed. I am already dreading the teen years with her. :)
We have been borrowing Mom's truck the past couple of week in order to get some projects around the house completed. Hayden has loved it. He really enjoys riding in the truck with Grant because he can see everything. He even thinks he has learned a few things about driving. Well....Wednesday night after church he was watching me drive pretty closely even in my car. I rolled through a stop sign on a back road and he got all upset. He said, "Didn't you see that stop sign Mom! That stop sign means you need to stop. You really messed that one up Mommy!" I am glad he is so aware of the driving rules. I hope he continues to be that way when he turns 16.
The pictures are from earlier this week. I had some papers to grade so I took the kids outside to play hoping they would let me work. Addyson was playing on the deck with Tapper and Hayden was "mowing the lawn." He came up to me with his hand on his hips and ask if Addyson could ride with him on his lawn mover like he used to ride with Daddy on his. At first I said no because I didn't think that Addyson would understand the concept of sitting on Hayden's lap and that Hayden could drive it with her on his lap. But I let him try anyway. Together they worked pretty well and had a lot of fun!!

The End of Spring Break

I know that spring break has been over for more than a week but these beautiful pictures have stayed in my camera. Last Friday, Saturday, and Sunday we spent some time with Abby and the gang.

Aren't the shirts that Hayden and Addyson have on adorable!! Aunt Heather had those made for the three cousins. They all wore them shopping on Saturday. Addyson was especially proud of her shirt and loved the ribbons on it.
We did get to spend some time with Uncle Kelby. Luckily for us, it rained Saturday morning and they couldn't plant corn, so he came to play with us. Even baby Adalee loves to snuggle up with him!!
Adalee has grown so much in the past two months!!! She is smiling and such a good baby. I love being able to spoil her. Addyson and Hayden also enjoyed spending time with their new cousin. Both wanted to help take care of her. Hayden held her with some assistance but was eager to pass her back because he though she was going to spit up on him. :)

Morning at LBL

Well...the kids and I were suppose to go to the zoo today with Abby, Heather, and Addlee, but a round of a stomach bug kept us away from Sebree. Instead we all spent the morning at LBL. It was a perfect morning for it. The first place we went was the Homeplace. It wasn't until I took a picture of these two good looking guys did I noticed that they matched. I promise I dressed Hayden first. :) I wasn't sure what the kids were looking at through this hole, but both kids looked at seperate time and then again together. So I thought I would look too. I guess I just don't see what so exciting about it but I will let you decide for yourselves. Hayden is all about tobacco barns. He wanted his picture taken in front of it. :) We also went to the Nature Station. Addyson was offered a very comfortable ride. She didn't want it until she realized Hayden did. She wouldn't get out of it then.

Spring Break Fun!!

This week Grant and I have both been off work to celebrate Spring!! Well really it is my spring break and Grant's vacation. We have had a wonderful week and have been extremely productive. Saturday we layed edging all around out landscaping and what we wanted to landscape later in the week. Sunday we took the day off for church and some other fun things. Hayden and I went to the movies with Jack and Melissa. Grant and Addyson went and visited Dede and Poppy. Monday it stormed most of the day so we weren't to productive outside. Most of these pictures were taken Tuesday when we were planting some of the new side landscaping. It was incredibly muddy. Both kids loved helping to dump the wheelbarrow because they were able to ride it on the way back. Below you will see what we added to the side. What you can't see is the two tons of rock that we added on Wednesday. It looks good if I do say so myself. We also had a storage building delivered. Grand ordered the siding to go on and is building a ramp. Future projects still to complete, but are in the works are putting siding on the storage building and building a deck to extend to the pool. Can't wait to get the deck done, because before long we will be opening the pool and ready for some fun.

Wagon Fun!!

Earlier this week Hayden decided to be an amazing big brother and pull Addyson around the house in his lego wagon. Don't ask where the legos are!! :) BUT...I think Hayden really had another plan. He really wanted Addyson to pull him. After a couple of times around the living room he made her get out and he quickly jumped in. She didn't seem to mind.
He grabbed a book to read while enjoying his ride. She just needed some milk to build muscles to pull him. She was able to do it, but it was at a very slow pass. I am so glad that they can occassionally play together. :)
