First Day of School

My camera is still at school but I wanted to post some first day of school pictures.  These are the pictures from my phone or the ones other took and sent me. 

Addyson had a great first day of Kindergarten  She was very tired by the afternoon but behaved beautifully.  Hayden was so excited to see all his friends. 

A funny story on Addyson is that after her second day her teacher came to me and said that they had a little problem.  Addyson was kissing a boy.  She likes this boy named Daniel.  They were sitting on the carpet and she got him down and kissed him on the cheek….twice.  She also told him that she was going to come to his house.  Grant and I are a little worried to say the least.

I have some pretty goofy kids in my class this year.  We were trying to cheer up a students by making funny faces.  I say we succeeded in making funny faces. 

Birthday party, Watermelon Bust, Back to School

 

Saturday afternoon, we went to Jack’s birthday party and the kids got to play on a water inflatable.  They loved it!!

After the birthday party we picked up Grant and headed to the Watermelon Bust.  The kids love this because it is all you can eat watermelon and lots of kids games. 

After the busy weekend we spent the first part of the week getting ready for school.  They kids spent the first two days with Payton, their new babysitter.  They loved her!

My school had a back to school swim party.  I took the kids in hopes that Addyson would make a friend before the first day of school.  Addyson and Hayden both ended up playing with some of my former students. 

Addyson did meet a few kindergarteners that would be in her class.  They didn’t play much together though. 

I had a good time with my friends getting ready at our school for students to come back.

Hanna Claire

Hanna Claire was born while we were at camp.  We could wait to get home in order to meet her. 

Kelby invited us over to his house for supper and to spend time with his sweet daughter.  We got a rare picture of us all together!

I used my “I live far away” excuse to get to hold Hanna as much as possible. 

Of course while we were in town we visited the farm.  Hayden had to get in all the tractors.  Look at that smile. 

When we weren’t on the farm we were in Abby’s house playing with Adalee.  We played with stamps and trains.  Fun was had by all!

WKYC–All ages week

I am totally going to have to play catch up so I can post first day of school pictures.  In July we went to Church Camp for an entire week.  The weather was BEAUTIFUL for the entire week.   Some would even say they got cold. 

One of the best things about camp is the food; even if you are too tired to enjoy it like Addyson was.  One night they even grilled steak and fish for the staff.  We all had to share the knife to cut the steak though. 

All the activities are another highlight of camp.  Hayden loved the sand and played there a lot with some boys from his cabin.  Addyson played wherever there was people.  The older girls let her participate in a shaving cream activity with them. 

Addyson and I had fun in the cabin.   She didn’t have a bed so she slept on an air mattress.  She had no trouble falling asleep at night.  Our good friend Lindsey was in the cabin with us as well. 

Hayden really enjoyed camp during the day but struggled a little at night.  He wanted his momma.  By Wednesday night I gave him my phone with a picture of me on it so he could carry it to the boys side of camp.  This seemed to really help him.  He was a ham during skit night.  He even took a bow in the middle of the skit when his part was finished. 

On of my favorite parts of the week was spending time with my friends.  I love these ladies and glad to have them in my life. 

I also made new friends with Dana and Trina.  They were in the cabin next door and we had a blast together.  Here they are working on their skit which was hilarious!
