Attempting the impossible

Tuesday morning we have our first post placement visit. Our social worker wants five pictures of Addyson with her family. I think that would require a picture of Hayden and Addyson together. I have found that to be the most impossible task yet.

I can get one child into position and then the other one decideds they have had enough and leaves.

Sometimes I couldn't even get them together.

I guess I will try again today. Atleast they are both cute and fun to take pictures of.
At some point before Tuesday we have to also get a family picture. Wish me luck!!

Introducing THe Family Part Two

I think that Addyson has met almost all of our Kentucky family and she can't wait to meet the Virginia Crew.

Last week we went over to Granny Orr's house to visit with her and Aunt Jane and Uncle Jerry.

After we left we went to Dede and Poppy's house. Allison and Layken came over to meet Addyson.

Here is a picture of Hayden and Addyson with their cousin Layken.

Introducing The Family Part One

Addyson had a lot of family waiting to meet her. While we needed some time as a family to bond we have slowly been introducing her to our family.

The first person she met was my Mom. Mom was able to be at the airport to greet us as we got off the plane. While we didn't get a picture of them together that day, Mom came up last Wednesday to meet and play with her grandchildren.

On Saturday Grant, Hayden, Addyson, and I rode to Sebree for a small welcome home party. For lunch Mom made a delious meal, and we enjoyed it will Kirha, Kaitlyn, and Heather. I think they took all the pictures and I forgot to pick up my camera.

Addyson got to meet her Aunt Cindy or as Hayden calls her Meme.

Addyson also was happy to meet Uncle Keith.

While Kelby was at the airport to meet Addyson, Kaleb was in Louisville that day. So Saturday was the first time he got to hold her.
Addyson also was able to meet Katie and Haddie, but we somehow forgot to take pictures.

Finding Time

Finding time to blog is almost impossible these days. So much has happened in the last two weeks I don't really know where to start. I want to start at the beginning and tell you day by day about my trip to South Korea but I am afraid I would bore all of you...if any of you are still reading.
I did have a good trip. It seem long in many ways (missing my boys mainly) and shot in a lot of ways (didn't get to see a whole lot of the city due to the wet weather conditions). But in the end I did get what I went for and that is my beautiful daughter Addyson. She has been with me for about a week now. I arrived in the US on February 12. We met up with Hayden and Grant in Evansville at 1:30.

We have spent the past week doing so much. We spent the weekend at home bonding and getting to know one another. We also had to spend some time sleeping because Addyson and I were terribly jet lagged and Daddy was staying up with Addyson. The only one getting any sleep in our house was Hayden.

We also spent the week doing some business, like getting a social security card for Addyson, health insurance, and registering Hayden for preschool. I feel like we have constantly been on the go.

Hayden has spent a few days at Ms. Cindy's while I run errands. I am not sure I am ready to tackle Walmart with two kids on my own. I know many of woman do it but I am not sure I am quite ready. In fact, I have yet to go to Wal-mart since I have arrived back. I kind of like Grant doing the shopping.

One of the many sweet things that I have loved about this week is seeing Hayden learning to love Addyson. He is going to be such a great big brother. She already adores him.

Hayden and Daddy had some good bonding time while I was away. Hayden wants to be just like his Daddy. I am so lucky that God blessed me with a wonderful husband and two amazing children.
