When we got back from church camp we went straight home and took showers and then headed out to Crossland to celebrate Father’s Day. Our first stop was to Granny Orr’s. We were so excited to see Jace, Aunt Jane, and Uncle Jerry there as well. Addyson took this lovely picture for us.
After Granny’s we went to Dede and Poppy’s house. Notice the frog on Hayden’s hand. I thought it was cool he was holding it like that.
We had a wonderful time visiting with family. As you can see Lilly loved the chocolate cake! Addyson was stung by a bee for the first time. With her allergies to other bug bites I wasn’t sure how she would react to a bee sting. Her foot did swell and stay swollen for three days but other than that she did great! She has learned at least for awhile to wear shoes while walking the the grass.
Hayden has taken to making his own lunch if he doesn’t like what I am fixing. I need to teach him a few other things to make so he can continue to be independent and even help Addyson fix hers.
Addyson was able to ride her bike for a little bit with him on the back. Addyson has almost mastered riding her bike without training wheels she is just having a hard time steering around the curves in our driveway. She can ride straight for a long time.
Grant’s been off work this week and here are a few of our days in pictures.
Today we went golfing in Murray. We just played nine holes and with the heat it was a good thing. The kids had a blast golfing and driving the golf cart. They do have a long way to go before they turn 16 though.
We have also played with sidewalk chalk and went swimming. One night Grant went to throw Hayden in the pool and hayden wouldn’t let go and he lost his balance. Grant’s only choice was to fall into the pool as well. Unfortunately, Grant was fully dressed and had his phone on him. His phone did not survive the swim. A costly little swim that was.
We also got to babysit Lilly one day this week. Addyson was all about it and read Lilly some books. For the most part Lilly listened. Both kids were great helpers and had fun while she was there.
