Can't believe it is already Thursday!!!

I have been on the go twenty-four seven for the past week. When we got back home from visiting Mom and Dad I spent the next two days working in my classroom getting ready for school to start. Can you believe school starts next week? Monday was an easy day at school. I worked hard got a lot of things done and then came home to do some laundry and fix supper. Tuesday on the other hand was hard because Hayden ended up coming to school with me. Ms. Cindy had a migraine. With a meeting in the morning and then working all afternoon in my classroom Hayden had a long day.

I woke up early Wednesday morning and headed home (Sebree) by myself. Mom, Dad, Kaleb, and I rode together to Cincinnati for a doctors appointment. It went well. I really liked this doctor. After the appointment we dropped Dad and Kaleb off with one of Kaleb's friends. They(Kaleb and Dad) were going to stay the night in Cincinnati and catch a flight to Houston for another doctor's appointment. Mom and I head back home. We stopped in Evansville around 10:30pm for Krispie Creme doughnuts for the morning and pizza for supper. Yes, I know that may sound weird but it worked out well.

Today I was suppose to take Mom to have lasik eye surgery, but it is suppose to storm tonight when I was planning on heading home. Mom being a mom sent me home and found someone else to take her. Moms surgery went well. Dad on the other hand had his connecting flight from Dallas to Houston cancelled so he missed his appointment but it trying or does have another appointment for tomorrow (He did catch another flight out and is now in Houston).

So tomorrow looks like it might be a quiet day for me but you never know anymore. :)

Rough Week

The purpose of my blog is to document our life as a family. And as a family we are hurting. I don't know exactly what to say, but Dad's cancer has come back in full force. The doctors have not given him much hope. Dad is seeing a couple of doctors this week to see if there are any treatments available to buy a little more time.

We spent a wonderful weekend at home together as a family. Lots of tears and laughs filled the house. We ate at the Feedmill on Friday night. Saturday we grabbed a few groceries, Grant, Hayden, and I visited Granny and Graddaddy, and had a great family supper. We went to church Sundayand then headed home after lunch.

I love my dad so much! I know the next months are going to be hard but I am going to treasure every moment I am going to spend with him. Please pray for Dad and our family!

Airplane

All day yesterday this airplane was flying over our house very low. The plane was flying in a loop over our neighborhood. It almost made me think that someone was taking flying lessons, the was they would continuously loop around. He would turn around right over our house. The first picture I took from the very back of our yard. The last picture I was standing on our back deck.

Hayden loved every minute of it. He would stand on the deck yelling airplane every time it turned.

wedding Picture Parade

We had a wonderful time in Arkansas this weekend. We drove down Friday, went to the rehersal dinner for Chris and Courtney. Saturday morning we played in the cold pool, went to the mall, and even took a nap. Saturday night we attended the wedding and reception. Hayden had a blast dancing all night long. I did drag him off the dance floor around 11:30 to head back to the hotel.
Here are some of the pictures of our weekend with the family.

Just like Daddy

Hayden and I went shopping for a tie for the wedding we are going to this weekend. When I put it on him he said he was like Daddy at the bank. Isn't that just so cute. I had to add the rest of the pictures becasue it is such a typical little boy. :)
Please excue the red shorts. We were just trying on the shirt and tie.

Weekend of Celebrating

We spent a good portion of our weekend celebrating birthdays. Yesterday we went to Granny Orr's house to celebrate her 90th birthday. Today we celebrated Daddy Damon's 80th birthday. I did take my camera both places but did note take any pictures. I did take some pictures on the way to lunch today though and after.

Fireworks and more

Here, Grant and Hayden are waiting for the fireworks to start this past Sunday. Hayden made friends with the ladies sitting behind us. He would blow them bubbles and want them to pop them.

Dede and Poppy came to sit by us in the Lowe's parking lot to enjoy the show.

This is a video of Hayden sliding in his pool. He is trying to count and then yells go.

We took Hayden to see Ice Age last night. This was his first movie at the theatre. We took him to the Mayfield theatre because it is so small that if we had to get up and leave we wouldn't be disturbing to many people. I was a little worried to try it last night for two reasons. One being that the movie didn't start until 7:30 and two he was already cranky. We did buy him a kids snack pack that included some popcorn, a candy, and a small drink. He ate almost all of the popcorn during the movie. He did move seats a few times but other than that he did an amazing job and even laughed out loud at a few parts.

4th of July

We had a very calm and relaxing day yesterday. We went to the parade at Murray. Hayden loved every part of it. He really got into catching the candy and waving and say hi to everyone.

Hayden is pointing to the fire trucks.

He was mesmerized by the parade. His favorite was of course the tractors.

There were lots and lots of tractors. Hayden would point to a tractor and then another. He probably said tractor fifty times.

After the parade we went home and ate lunch and the boys took a nap. Around four we left and went to visit Granny Orr for a little while before heading to Dede and Poppy's house. The rain came and knocked out the electricity so we ate grilled hamburgers by candle light.

Around 8:20 we headed back to Murray for fireworks. We didn't know then that they had been cancelled. Hayden fell asleep on the way there. He woke up really happy but unfortunately was disappointed when we didn't get to see any fireworks.

We are heading back to Murray tonight in hopes of seeing the fireworks.

Dinosaurs and Dogs

Hayden loves to act like a dinosaur. He and Grant will run around the house acting like them. Today I caught Hayden on film. I had to end the clip because I was being attacked.

Tapper has been very sick this week. He has been at the the animal hospital since Monday morning. He came home this afternoon on a strict diet and instructions not to leave him alone for very long. He is still not really up running around much but I can tell a huge difference. While I was getting supper ready tonight Hayden wanted to go visit Tapper in the laundry room. When I peeked in this is what I saw.

First Attempt at a Video

I hope that the video quality turns out well. The video itself if very short but very cute. Hayden thought I was taking a picture of him and couldn't quit smiling.
