Turtle Friend

Last Saturday I was push mowing the backyard around the pool when we found this little guy.  The kids we begging to keep him but we haven’t had much luck with pets recently. 

Hayden wanted to get an up close look, but would jump back when the turtle would stick his head out.  The turtle wanted to crawl up by the house to get away from us but we kept pulling him back.

Grant was the official turtle holder, but Hayden got brave at the end when we were going to take him to the pond.  This is about as close as he got to holding him though because he wanted to walk. 

We have lots of wildlife around our house.  We often see deer, turkeys, a bird family that had made it’s home on our porch, but I don’t want to mention what I recently found in the pool skimmer. Yuck!

Kindergarten

Hayden had his first day of school today! He woke up ready to go.  I fixed his favorite breakfast, fried egg and we headed to school.

Before he left Addyson gave him a hug for good luck. 

Hayden is so lucky to have a wonderful teacher Mrs. Dobson!  She said he did a great job today and behaved really well.  We shall see how day two goes!

Also, Addyson started her second year of KY Kids today.  She had a fabulous day as well.  Ms. Wendy said she even ate her chicken when she knew she could have chips afterwards.  That’s my daughter!!
