Memorial Day Weekend

I loved every minute of our weekend in Virginia. Here is a picture of all the cute babies eating waffles made by Granpa, his specialty. Don't they all look happy? :)

Hayden loves playing outside. He also loved this play house. It had a door bell that actually rang. My favorite part was when Hayden and Carson were playing in the house at the same time. It is going to be fun watching them grow up together.

Hayden loves his cousins. He took to Rachel immediately. I can't wait until the beach so we can see them again.

Sunday night we celebrated Granpa's 85th birthday. In this picture Hayden is wanting a bite of Grandpa's strawberry shortcake. Of course Grandpa gave him a bite, and Hayden loved it.

This last picture is of Hayden on the way home. He was in the car from 3:30 in the morning until 5:00 last night. This is often what I saw when I turned around and looked at him. He wanted out of his seat so bad.

We had a wonderful visit, but Hayden was so excited to see his Daddy when we arrived home.

Hayden's First Visit to the Zoo

Mom and I took a long weekend trip to Norfolk Virginia to visit family and help Grandpa celebrate his 85th birthday. On Sunday we took the kids to the zoo. Below is a picture of everyone who went. We had an amazing time.

Carson and Hayden are only three months apart. They really didn't play together to much but they are going to have a blast together at the beach next month. The both are just so cute.

There was a great opportunity in the zoo for a photo shoot. I really didn't want to get on the huge hippopotamus but Hayden didn't want to sit on it by himself.

Hayden really wasn't that interested in seeing the animals, but I really enjoyed seeing them up close.

Grant makes a wonderful elephant sound, so I called him and let him talk to Hayden and together they made the sound. It is so cute to hear.

More pictures of the weekend to follow!

The Big Red Chair

Grant and I have been wanting to get Hayden a chair for the living room that he can easily get in and out of . Well...we found one but it had Elmo on it. Now, I don't have anything against Elmo, but he is not my favorite character. Needless to say Hayden loves his new chair.
Hayden was in heaven last night. He had his new chair and a big ball. He was so happy. The ball is almost as big as he is .
When we were unpacking our boxes a few weeks ago Grant found this old dog that he had in college. Hayden is fascinated by it. It will bark, walk, and wag its tail.
He set it right by his chair to pet it. I think Tapper has been replaced in Hayden's eyes.
After petting him, he proceeded to pick him up and carry him to his toy box.

After he dropped him in the toy box he turned back around and walked back to his chair. He has control over this dog.

Happy Mother's Day

This was an amazing day. Grant tried to get a good picture of Hayden and I together but it just didn't work out. So the picture of Hayden and I together was taken last week. In the picture, Hayden wasn't feeling well and wanted to cuddle. This is a rare thing.

My first mother's day was filled with lots of smiles...

and lots of tears. Hayden doesn't get a good morning nap on Sunday's because of church which means Hayden is grumpy.

Grant's side of the family came over for lunch. Grant cooked for us all. He is such a good husband. Grant and Hayden gave me a GPS device for my car. I hate getting lost so this is a wonderful thing.

This is a cute video of Hayden being tickeled. I am sorry it is a little dark. It was taken with my digital camera.

Congratulations Kaleb

Today Kaleb graduated from Murray State University. I am so proud of him. The ceremony started at 10:00 am, so Hayden and I went at 9:00 to save seats. Kaleb walked across the stage a little past 12:00. Needless to say Hayden was very tired and hungry, so we left a little early. Hayden slept all the way home and only woke up at 2:00 when everyone else came for dinner.

The proud graduate

Rarely do we have an opportunity to get a family picture.

When Kelby graduated from UK they took a picture like this. We only thought it was appropriate to do it again when Kaleb graduated. Don't they look cool. :)

This picture of Hayden was taken before the graduation ceremony started. For as long as it lasted, I think he did beautifully.

Say Cheese

Lately, Hayden has really been turning on the charm for the camera. I love his many different smiles. Here are just a few.

This first one is when we were outside playing, and he discovered the screen door. I was really trying to get a picture of him smushing his face against it.

I absolutely love this picture. It is one of my favorites. He is holding his new favorite toy. It is the music off of a pop up book. Hayden destroyed the book but really liked the music that was attached. I finally cut the music buttons off and he carries it around.

Hayden loves to be in his swing and outside. If you can tell I recently gave Hayden a haircut. I used the wrong guard and cut his hair a little shorter than I was planning. Luckly, it grows really fast. :)

Crazy Cousins

Last night we were all over at Debby and Larry's for Grant's birthday dinner. As you can tell from the pictures, we had a lot of fun. Layken is Hayden's only first cousin. She is amazing with him. He absolutely loves her.

Layken is trying to work and Hayden is trying to do anything to keep Layken from working.

Hayden loved to be chased by Uncle Anthony.
