First Lost Tooth

I guess it was around New Years Day when Hayden realized he had a loose tooth.  Grant and I begged him to let us pull it.  Of course he would not even consider it.  Several days later after we put him down for a nap we heard him jump off his bed and come running into our room with this big smile on his face.  He pulled it himself!!

I offered Hayden $2 which is double what the tooth fairy brings for his tooth and Hayden jumped on this opportunity!  No tooth fairy for this boy!

Fun around the house

We have spent quite a bit of time at home lately.  It has just been too cold outside.  Grant sent me this picture to try to convince me to come up in the bonus room with the boys.  It worked and I came.  They love being up their and playing the X-box.

On one of our snow/ice days off of school the kids were upstairs playing.  They came down all dressed up.  My favorite part of these pictures is not the Hayden is dressed up like a princess but how excited Addyson is that he finally gave in and dressed up!

Last Friday after dance class I took the kids back to my school to watch some of my students play basketball.  Addyson was able to play with her friend Lindsey.  I guess they were pretty worn out after dance class.  Hayden was at the top playing with his friend Jack.

The next day Addyson and I went to a wedding together.  She wanted to dress up and look pretty, so we tried curling her hair again.  The curls lasted a few hours and was enough for her.

Visit to Abby’s

Before school started back from the Christmas break the kids and I headed to Sebree for two days.  The first afternoon we were in town Kaleb and Adalee went with us to go bowling! It was a tight fit in the back of my car.

The girls were pretty excited about finding pink ball to use.  Hayden on the other hand wasn’t as excited about the color choice.

Addyson has only gone bowling with us once before and she was to little to really bowl, so I consider this her first time.  Hayden was a pro!  He really enjoyed himself!

Every time after Adalee finished bowling she wanted high fives from Hayden and Addyson but did not want one from me.

Hayden tried to beat everyone in tic-tac-toe but didn’t have much luck.  He is learning some new strategies though.

Happy New Year

We celebrated New Years at home with our friends, Paul and Lisa.  After we ate super we headed up to the bonus room to play games.

We played Headbandz.  This is a game where you ask yes or no questions to try to figure out what the card on your head it.  Grant was best at the game by far!

Addyson and Hayden like to cheat and tell you what it either rhymed with or just told you what it was.

Afterwards the boys played some X-box.  Hayden is really enjoying Disney infinity game he got for Christmas!

The kids played with Paul on the treadmill.  I’m not sure who had more fun.  The kids made an obstacle course with pillows and the bean bag.

We celebrate the new year around 10:00 and then head off to bed.  That was my kind of new year!
