KY Kids Kentucky Derby

Well....Hayden survived his first week at KY Kids. I knew this change was going to be hard, and it was and still is. We haven't fully adjusted yet!
They have been learning about Kentucky all week and about the letter K. Today they made derby hats and had their own Run for the Roses.

I love how flexible my work is allowing me to be apart of my own kids activities. Addyson was so proud of her hat. She had a flowers, feathers, and even a paper towel roll on her hat. I think Hayden was pretty proud of his hat as well.

Hayden ran the race first. He was very serious about it and had to take his hat off. He fell but got right back up and ended up winning the race.

Addyson wasn't as excited about running. She started out but then realized I wasn't running with her. I then had to run the rest of the race with her. I'm so glad my kids go to a preschool that is so amazing!

Ms. Amy's shower

Hayden's teacher Ms. Amy is getting married over Spring Break. We thought it would be nice if the kids had a little shower for her.

We asked all the kids to bring in a few dollars and we would buy a gift for her. We also got some cookies and drinks to celebrate! The kids wanted to hide and surprise her so they laid down on the carpet.

Hayden and the other kids had a lot of fun but they just thought it was Ms. Amy's birthday!

This was Hayden's last day at preschool at Farmington. Ms. Cindy sold her house and Hayden can no longer ride the bus to her house. Luckily, Addyson goes to a school that is super understanding and they have agreed to let Hayden come until summer! We are sad Hayden won't be able to finish the Farmington preschool program but we know he will be back in the fall for Kindergarten.

Crazy Circus!!

I took the kids to the circus in Murray at the National Guard Army last Tuesday night. Grant had a late meeting and my friend Melissa wanted to take the kids. We went together last year and had a blast. I didn't think twice about saying yes. I should have thought twice. It was awful!!!

We got there early to ride the elephants. Both kids love it!

We really should have left after riding the elephants, because it was all down hill after that.
Jack was scared to ride the elephant until he say us ride it. Melissa offered to pay to have Hayden ride again with Jack. Hayden was all for it.

This was Addyson's face when she realized what Hayden was getting ready to do. She doesn't like to be left out.

Well the circus finally started. They had to stop in the middle of the first act to pick up after the horses. Very entertaining!!

Hayden kept asking why he was seeing the same people over and over. The same people would come out dressed in a different costume to perform a trick. Hayden wasn't fooled. He knew that their should be more than four people performing.
The trick that impressed us the most (insert sarcasm) was the lion tamer. Hayden looked over at me and said, "I could be the lion Mom."

Needless to say we did enjoy spending time with friends but will think again before going to the circus.

Valentines Day

Yes, Valentines Day was almost a month ago but these wonderful pictures have been stuck on my camera. Hayden and Addyson showed some love to each other before heading off to school. I was able to attend Hayden's party but Addyson's party was for kids only. No adults were allowed.

This is the valentine that the kids gave to their friends.

Hayden had fun delivering his valentines!

They even sang some songs for the parents before that party started. Luckily, I had a student teacher to stay in my class while I was able to be with Hayden.

Addyson had crazy sock day at school a week or so ago. We couldn't find any socks that were crazy that fit her. Finally, we decided that we would just put the socks over her shoes.
