Birthday Party

Hayden had a wonderful time at his birthday party last night.

He opened so many wonderful presents.

It was good to get the whole family together. He Hayden is with both Grammy and Dede.

GG and Poppy farmed all night.
Hayden was showing Anthony and Kristy his spiderman birthday card.

Hayden loved playing with both Layken and Heather. He loves them both so much.

He did an awesome job of blowing out his candle this year. He didn't need any help at all.

Hayden wouldn't eat any supper because he was so excited about his new train track. He just sat in the middle of it and laughed as the train would go around.

This table is so cool because it has a dry erase surface. I hope I can teach Hayden the difference between which table it is okay to write on and which ones he can't.

All three of them could fit in the tent. They were so cute.

We also had several silly moments last night. One was when Grammy realized that she wore two different shoes last night.

Dede didn't want her picture taken so Grant took a picture of the bottom of her shoe.

Heather tried to avoid the camera but Grant is pretty stubborn himself. We got several good pictures of her.

We had a wonderful time last night. I wish we had more occasions to get the entire family together more.

Happy Birthday Hayden

Hayden had a wonderful Birthday yesterday. When he woke up we blew up a balloon for him to take to daycare. He loved showing his friends his birthday balloon.
At snack time they had a party for him. I brought a cake and then he opened presents. Below he is giving one of the sweetest girls a ride on his new ride.

His birthday supper consisted of "pizza pizza" and a little more cake.

After supper Hayden opened his present from us (a train set).

This is the best picture I have before he destroyed all of Grant's hard work. I think Grant had about as much fun as Hayden did.

We are having a small birthday party for him tomorrow with our extended family. It will be fun to get everyone together.

I promise

I promise to update with Hayden's birthday pictures this afternoon. I was so exhasted last night I went to bed when Hayden did.

Mammmma...

After work today, I was in the kitchen cleaning some dishes. Hayden was screaming Mamma loudly. I went into the the living room to find him, and this is what I saw.

His poor hair gives him away. He really thought that I wouldn't find him.

He would get aggrivated that he was to big to shut the top. I love the boy so much.

Surprise Trip to Sebree :)

We took a unplanned trip to Sebree this morning. We had originally planned to spend the day there because we don't have to work tomorrow but we had a some miscommunication. Luckly, we got it all figure out in time to enjoy a wonderful day together.
Grammy and Hayden have such a wonderful time playing together.

I think both Hayden and GG really enjoyed reading the tractor magazine.

Hayden has on one of GG's hats.

He made a fort out of his car and his favorite blanket at Grammy's house.

After we arrived home the boys cuddled up on the couch to watch football.

We had a blast today spending time with family. It makes me wish that we lived closer.

First Black Eye

Right before bedtime tonight Hayden was in the corner of the living room playing with with a toy. I was sitting on the couch watching American Idol. I saw the toy drop and Hayden grab his face. By the time he made it across the room he had a knot right below his eye and it was already starting to bruise.

When Grant got home from playing basketball he laughed and was coaching Hayden what to say tomorrow when he goes to the babysitters. :)

Bad Haircut

I had a wonderful day at school today. One of my coworkers took my kids for some extra writing time which left me with some extra time to write lesson plans and grade papers. So with such a great day I wanted to go after school and order Hayden's Birthday cake. The bakery was closed and I didn't want to waste the trip to Murray so I decided to take Hayden for a haircut. I have been putting this off for a few weeks now because I love his long hair.

I never imagined that in the back seat of my car my sweet little Hayden turned into a monster. As soon as we walked in the door to the hair salon Hayden started screaming. I swear he screamed the entire time we were there, which was lucky for us that it was no longer than twenty minutes.
Hayden did move while she was trimming his neck line. He has an line in the back of his head. I opted to have the girl cut higher on his neck and let the small bald spot grow back.
I think that we will buzz his head the next time he needs a haircut. It was save a lot of aggravation and money.

Busy Busy Week

The week back to school after a break always surprises me with how busy it is. I always think that we can ease back into our routine but that never seems to be the case. Monday it was so hard to drop Hayden off at Ms. Cindys. Tuesday was somewhat normal. Wednesday I had a late meeting at school and then church. Thursday Grant was given tickets to see MSU play basketball so that was another late night. Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining I just miss being at home with Hayden all day, taking pictures and playing. I promise to make a better effort this week to pick up the camera.
In my free time I am trying to plan Hayden's 2nd Birthday party. We are going to make it a family event at our house. Last year was just a little to crazy having so many kids running around. I can't believe in just two weeks my little boy will be two years old.

Night Night Dinosaur

Yesterday Hayden walked out of his room shut his door and told me night night and shhhhh.
Needless to say, I was just a little curious. He let me go into his room where he pointed to the bed. The dinosaur was asleep. He gladly showed me again how he put the dinosaur to bed. Here are the steps he took.
1. Cover the dinosaur with the blanket.

2. Lay down with the dinosaur for a few minutes.

3. Close the door quietly and let the dinosaur sleep.

Relaxing Day at Home

Yesterday we spent most of the day hanging around the house. I received my new camera battery the day before so I was eager to test the life of the new battery out.

Hayden was eager to cheese for the camera. I love that he is starting to talk more.

He wanted me to take his picture but he wanted to be super close to the camera. I thought they turned out pretty good anyway.

Here Hayden is saying WOW at the camera flash.

I just love Hayden's smile.

Happy New Years

We would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Years. We enjoyed a very quiet night at home. We had our friends Paul and Lisa over for supper. They had another party to go to so they left around nine o' clock. This worked out perfect because Hayden was able to stay up until then.
