We started fall break with pizza at Dede’s house. Everyone got to hold baby Lilly.
Monday morning we headed out to the bank and Wal-Mart in hopes we wouldn’t have to go there again that week, and I believe we were successful!
Before we got there though, Grant surprised the kids with doughnuts. They were super excited!
We spent the rest of the day cleaning the house and garage. After the kids nap they headed down our hill to visit our neighbors goats. Addyson is such an animal lover!
Tuesday we continue to work outside. Grant mowed the lawn while I pressure washed the house. I was very kind and let Grant climb out the window and get the spots I couldn’t reach.
Wednesday we took it pretty easy. We all went up to school to help set up the book fair. Melissa put on the Clifford costume for the kids!
After we set up the book fair, Grant and Hayden headed home while Addyson and I joined Jeana and Lindsey for a girls afternoon. We celebrated Jeana’s birthday by eating at Dumplins and then getting our nails done. This was Addyson’s first time and I think she really enjoyed it.
Later that night at church, I caught the girls trying to put on beards with play dough. Addyson’s must have just fell off just as I snapped the picture.
Thursday we met the Acree’s at the park for a picnic and playing. The kids had a blast in the sand! They immediately got a shower as soon as they got home. Not a single picture I took had all five kids looking at me. They were just to busy.
Friday morning we woke up and headed to Nashville for some shopping at Opry Mills.
After lunch we watched The Wizard of Oz in 3-D. The kids really liked it and were not scared at all. Addyson did cry at the end when Dorothy was saying goodbye to the Lion, Scarecrow, and Tin man.
After shopping we headed to Aunt Jo’s house to visit with her. We had a wonderful time. We headed to the Zoo with her on Saturday!
Grant opted out of riding the caracal with us and I found some interesting pictures of himself on my phone afterwards.
The kids got to feed the birds some nectar.
We have had a wonderful break and really enjoyed spending time together as a family for a whole week.
