Almost Halloween

I am getting excited about Halloween. We have not finalized our plans yet as of where we are gonig and when. We do know that tomorrow night we plan on going to church where they will have trunk or treat.

Tonight I told Hayden that it was time for a bath. He is not usually really excited about this becasue he knows it leads to going to bed. But tonight he beat me into the bathroom where I found him going through the drawer where I keep the shampoo and soap. He found the bubbles and went to try to dump them into the tub. I just had to laugh because he knew what he wanted.
Earlier today he was playing with his tractor book from Grammy. This book is really cool because it has wheels on it. Well, I asken Hayden to go get this book so I could read it to him. He quickly went into his room and looked for it. It was a minute or two later that he was on the chair trying to turn on his light in his room. There was plenty of light so I figured he just got distracted. So I asked him again to bring me the tractor book. He just looked at me and went back to playing. I went into his room to find almost every book the boy owns on the floor. After he helped me pick them up I asked him where his tractor book was. Once again he went to stand on the chair that he uses to turn on and off his light, but this time he pointed. Sure enough the book was out of his reach behind his bed. He had been trying to tell me this the whole time, but I wouln't listen. I cannot wait until he is talking a lot more. :)

Carving Pumpkins

This is a picture of Hayden dancing to the music at the American Heart Walk.

Hayden loved getting his hands dirty. Even even tried to eat the pumpkin seeds. Grant was so proud.

Grant worked so hard on his pumpkin. He even found a pattern online.

I stuggled even with the traditional pumpkin.

Hayden was throwing this stuff everywhere.

This is Grant's pumpkin. It is Frankenstein. It looks great lit up.

This is my pumpkin.

Fall on the Farm

Wednesday Hayden and I tagged along with the preschool class and Ms. Cindy's other kids to Fall on the Farm at Murray State University. I took a half day off of work so I could go and be with Hayden. I wasn't sure if Hayden was old enough to enjoy this but he really did.

The first stop was the corn pit. Straw bales were set up and they had lots of corn for the kids to play in. Hayden loved walking in it and trying to swim.

Our next stop was the giant slide. Hayden and I went down this together. I only went down once. Another parent took pictures of us coming down. I looked really scared.

The petting zoo was Hayden's favorite part. They were allowed to pet all the animals. Some of the kids were even brave enough to pick the animals up. Hayden and his friend Boden loved the chickens. They examined them closely.

This is Hayden's first pony ride. He wanted on so bad.

We also went through a corn maze, sling shot some water balloons, and had a duck race with water. This really was a lot of fun. If Hayden doesn't get to go with the school group again next year I think I will take him on the day that the public gets to go. At the end, every child received a little pumpkin.
Hayden cried at alomost every stop, but it was because he wanted to be the first one on everything. Hopefully, he learned a little about waiting his turn.

Photograhers Nightmare

We had to be the photographer's nightmare last night. We went to get our family pictures taken around 4 yesterday. Hayden did not want to have any part of it. He wanted to be in the waiting area with the toys. He would not sit or stand still for more than a second. When he would sit still he was crying.

Here are a few of the funny pictures we were blessed with. :) Honestly, we did get some good pictures. If you would like to see those just leave me a comment and I will send you the link.

Loving Fall Break!!!

Grant has taken the last two days off to hang out with us. We have had so much fun.

Can you tell that he has the cap off of every marker. Luckly these are the markers that only work on certain paper.

I am not really sure what he was thinking about but he sure is cute.

We went and picked out a pumpkin for each of us. Grant and I are going to carve ours this weekend. Hayden has been carrying his around the house.

He just had to give his pumpkin a ride around the house.

Trip to the Farm

Hayden and I spent two days in Webster Co. I hadn't been home since July. I think this is the longest time that I have been away. It was good to go home, relax, and spend time with family.

Hayden loves Heather. They play so well together. She would set up all the animals out of Hayden's Noah's Ark and Hayden would knock them all over and laugh. Heather did a great job of distracting Hayden while she set them up by throwing one across the room and asking him to go get them. She is amazing.

GG and Grammy took turns holding and reading to Hayden.

Uncle Kaleb almost rocked Hayden to sleep. He was so tired. Uncle Kaleb and Uncle Kelby are very rough with Hayden, but I know they love him.

This was Heather's shopping cart when she was little. Kirha dropped it off for Hayden to play with. He pushed it all over the house.

When we went to the farm after it stopped raining. Hayden quickly wanted to jump into a "dractor" GG took us out into a field and let Hayden drive. I tried to take a picture of Hayden driving but couldn't see well enough.

Uncle Kaleb and Don were working on the Combine so we couldn't ride it, but I still let him climb up so he could see the inside.

Hayden even got his first ride on a four-wheeler. I think this was his favorite becasue he loves the wind in his face. I am so glad that it rained so we could spend more time with the boys instead of them working like crazy to harvest.

Sunday Drive

Hayden went for a ride this afternoon in this princess car. We were outside playing when a few girls from the neighborhood drove up in this car to play with Hayden. They cruised the driveway. Hayden loved the car and didn't want to get out. Grant and I priced these type of cars before and unfortunately for Hayden he will not be getting one. He will just have to continue to make friends with the neighborhood girls.

I do have some pictures from this weekend that I will post soon. I am just starting to really enjoy having a break from work. :)

Radom Cuteness

By request I have added some new pictures of Hayden. They are a mix of the last few busy weeks. I am now on fall break and I am ready for a little R&R.
Hayden is getting better at using a fork and spoon. He is much better with a fork but he loves using a spoon.

Can you guess what he is looking at?

We took Haydne to his first Murray State football game. The weather was perfect for it last Saturday. Hayden was very curious about Dunker. He would not take his eyes off of him.

I know what you are all going to say "This isn't safe," but Hayden loved every minute of this. We don't plan on making a habit of this but Hayden was very curious.
