Thanksgiving and Circus

I can't belive that Thanksgiving has now come and gone. We drove to Sebree yesterday morning and visited with Mom for a few hours while Dad slept. We then headed over to Keith's house for the Tapp family thanksgiving dinner.

Above, Hayden is playing in a fountain that is normally kept outside but brought in because of the cold weather. The kids were quietly playing so we didn't notice. Kelby was watching and laughing and that is what caught our attention. Otherwise they may have been totally drenched. :)

It was a wonderful meal but Mom and Dad were missed. After we ate everyone went back to Mom and Dad's to visit for a little while. It was nice to see dad in his chair. He was weak and tired so everyone didn't stay long. Soon most were napping including Hayden because we had a big night ahead of us: The Circus!!!

All of the Tapp's went to the Circus together. Our first stop was the elephant rides. On the elephant below is my cousin Shawn, daughter Ava, wife Sarah, and Grant and Hayden. Hayden laughed and smiled the entire ride.

Hayden was cativated by the circus. He didn't take his eyes off the show.

Since we had such a big lunch we didn't have supper before leaving. So we had popcorn and sprite for supper. Needless to say Hayden loved this part of the circus as well.

Here are some of our favorite moments of the circus.

The show was about four hours long, but we only stayed for a little over three. Hayden would have lasted for the entire show but Grant and I were tired. :)
We are now back home in Mayfield. We will be enjoying Thanksgiving with Grant's side of the family tomorrow evening. :)

Newest Addition

I would like to introduce Addyson Grace Orr.

This has been such a crazy busy week. Dad had a doctor's appointment on Tuesday in Louisville to talk about an aggressive treatment option. The doctor thought Dad was strong enough so he admitted him to the hospital and began the treatment. That night I recieved a call from our social worker saying that she would have a referral for us the next day. Grant and I were totally excited. I was able to call Mom and Dad and tell them the good news before Dad started his treatment.
Wednesday we did recieve pictures of our adorable baby girl. She was born June 12. She is very healthy and happy. Grant and I discussed many name Thursday morning I headed to Louisville to see Dad and help Mom take care of him. They of course were more excited to see the pictures than see me. :)
Tomorrow we are headed to Owensboro to officially accept this referral. Of course we have more paper work to do but we also get to find out about the rest of the process and when we will possibly be able to go and pick our precious one up.

Afternoon @ the Park

Veteran's Day is one holiday that Grant gets off work that I do not. Unfortunately for him he decided to go into work to work on a paper. I did talk him into getting home about the same time that I do. Since it was so pretty we took Hayden to the park for a short time.
Hayden was so excited to get to play.

He loved the slide.

I had fun with my camera as well. I layed down and caught Hayden in action on this shot.

Halloween Part 2

Halloween was so much fun!!!

We went to visit family right after Hayden woke up from his nap.

We visited Granny Orr's house and Aunt Jane and Uncle Jerry's house. Hayden didn't quite have the hang of the trick or treat thing just yet.

At Dede and Poppy's house Hayden and Grant shared a carmel apple. As you can see Hayden really enjoyed it.

Next we headed to church for trunk or treating. After all the treating we went inside and had chili, hotdogs, and a bonfire.

Hayden was showing off his muscles.

Hayden and Lincoln aka the Hulk chased eachother around the parking lot at church.

This is the picture of all the kids at church who went Trunk or treating. There were a few more that came in late but it was going to be to hard to round everyone back up again for another picture.

We were is the shade so we became a little cold as the afternoon went on. We finally went into the gym a little early to wam up.

Can you guess what these four boys are doing. Well, it may look like they are in trouble but they are not. They are just hitting their heads on the wall. I am not sure who started it but Hayden wanted to be right in the middle of it.
After church we headed to our neighborhood for a little door to door trick or treating. The night ended going through all the candy. :)
