Fall on the Farm….Long Post

Today Hayden went to Fall on the Farm in Murray for his first field trip of the year.  Unfortunately, his teacher had a meeting she just couldn’t miss, so she asked me to step in and be his teacher for the morning. I gladly accepted!

The first stop was tractor safety. He gladly jumped into the tractor to get his picture made.  After that we were off to learn how to milk cows and make butter!

He got to go down some fun slides, and I did too!  I just didn’t realize someone picked up my camera. 

 

Hayden is trying to sling shot a water balloon to a hay bale spray painted to look like a pig.  We did find another slide.  Hayden surprised me by going down the slide with his teacher. 

The corn pit was by far the favorite station of the day!  He swarm in the corn, ran around, and made corn angels.  It was an amazing day and several of the kids fell to sleep on the bus ride home making it an even better trip!

Hayden Happenings

 

A couple of weeks ago this picture appeared in the Mayfield Messenger.  This tractor came to school promoting an upcoming truck and tractor pull.  Hayden loved it and was proud that he got to get his picture taken with it. 

Last week Dede and Poppy came to eat breakfast with Hayden for Grandparent's Day. 

I found these two cuddled together behind a chair.  They were playing together and laughing a lot!  It was to cute not to take a picture. 

Addyson’s Spirit Week

This week at KY Kids they celebrated Spirit week!  Addyson really enjoyed the visit from the cheerleaders!

The girl who is holding Addyson was also adopted and was thought Addyson was so cute!  It was so nice of these high school students to come and visit them at school.   

All Out Ball Fight

 

We debated a long time about what we were going to do this weekend.  We have changed our plans several times.  In the end we ended up staying home and doing nothing today.  This afternoon Hayden wanted to do something fun so we had a ball fight. 

We have about 150 small plastic ball for an old baby toy.  The baby toy is long gone but the balls have remained in a bag.  We dumped them out in the middle of the floor for a free for all.  The moment the fight got under way Grant hit Addyson in the face and she was done.  She didn’t want any part of it. 

Hayden on the other hand was all about it!  He LOVED throwing balls at us and getting hit by them.  He was hilarious to watch. 

 

After the fight was over and Grant and I were tired, Hayden still wanted to play and Addyson was now ready to get down and play.  In the end a fun time was had by all. 

Tomorrow we head to Evansville after church for a little shopping and then to Texas Roadhouse for Kaleb’s birthday.  Monday we will start the day with breakfast at Dede and Poppy’s house.  Sounds like a fun weekend after all.
