We started our trip to Chicago very early in the morning. We left the house at 4ish in the morning to catch our train in Carbondale at 7:30. We all really enjoyed the train ride. The train was very cold on the way up and kept our coats on all the way.
One of the favorite things that I saw on the way up was the windmills. If you can see in the background there were a lot of them.
When we got to Chicago we ate a very late lunch and took a taxi to our hotel. We rested for a little bit before going out exploring. We found our way to the lego store and you can see that Hayden was pretty pumped about that.
We ate supper and Gino’s. This was a pizza place that several people had mentioned that we needed to eat. Our food was amazing but the service was horrible!!
By the time we got our food the kids were super tired. They had a very long day.
