I can’t believe I went the whole month of July and did not post a single picture. So to make it up, here are several pictures of our month.
One morning we made marshmallow guns. Yes, it is summer and Hayden is wearing long sleeve. I did eventually hide all his long sleeve and jeans for the summer. He talks daily about wishing it was fall.
That same day I let the kids do a little science experiment. In the pan is baking soda. The cups have vinegar with food coloring in it.
They loved the reaction the two made. It was a very fun activity that kept them busy for at least an hour!
One of the many things I love about my kids is how well they play together. Almost every afternoon you can find them out on their “fort”. They will run up the slide time after time! I even thing they go down the stairs more than they do the slide!
I love watching Hayden helping Addyson run up the slide!
One night we went to Mayfield’s new putt putt golf course. We were the only ones there for more than half of the course. Hayden got the hang of it pretty quickly. Addsyon lost interest just as quick. The winner is the only person you won’t find a picture of.
On our last free Tuesday before school we headed to Six Flags in St. Louis. We had so much fun!! We drove up the night before for the kids favorite part; the hotel.
We finally learned how to make Addyson stand up tall so she could ride some of the big rides. She is dancing after she got off her first real roller coaster.
It was a perfect day at Six Flags. It was hot but there were absolutely no lines. Around 2 we sat down to eat lunch and the kids were complaining a little bit about being tired. We decided to watch a show, hoping the kids would fall asleep. It was a horrible show but the kids loved it and didn’t sleep a wink. They did get to go up on stage at meet all the characters.
The summer went by so fast!! I am thankful for all the time I have to spend with my kids!
