Addyson really enjoyed spring break especially being able to sleep in as late as she wants. I know she is not even two yet but the girl can be a bear to wake up. Grant and I have started waking her up slowing. First we just open her door a crack. Next, we will turn the hall light on, and finally we will go in, turn the light on, and pick out her clothes. Well...one day this week after we turned the light on Grant went to pick out her clothes. She jumped out of bed and climbed up on her couch. Grant didn't think much of it. She made sure Grant was looking at him before she turned the light back off and climbed into bed. I am already dreading the teen years with her. :)
We have been borrowing Mom's truck the past couple of week in order to get some projects around the house completed. Hayden has loved it. He really enjoys riding in the truck with Grant because he can see everything. He even thinks he has learned a few things about driving. Well....Wednesday night after church he was watching me drive pretty closely even in my car. I rolled through a stop sign on a back road and he got all upset. He said, "Didn't you see that stop sign Mom! That stop sign means you need to stop. You really messed that one up Mommy!" I am glad he is so aware of the driving rules. I hope he continues to be that way when he turns 16.
The pictures are from earlier this week. I had some papers to grade so I took the kids outside to play hoping they would let me work. Addyson was playing on the deck with Tapper and Hayden was "mowing the lawn." He came up to me with his hand on his hips and ask if Addyson could ride with him on his lawn mover like he used to ride with Daddy on his. At first I said no because I didn't think that Addyson would understand the concept of sitting on Hayden's lap and that Hayden could drive it with her on his lap. But I let him try anyway. Together they worked pretty well and had a lot of fun!!
