The Day after Christmas

The day after Christmas we headed to Sebree to spend time with my family. Heather was so nice to invite us all over to her house. Kelby was in the kitchen frying the bacon and making gravy. The kids were all playing so nicely. Hadley and Addyson had a blast trying to get into trouble.

My kids were spoiled like normal by Abby and their Uncles and Aunts.

I believe Adalee had a big first Christmas. She really enjoyed playing with Hayden's pirate boat the most though.

Abby and Addyson found something in common...packing bubbles. They both love to pop them. It was fun to watch them pop one and then look and giggle to see if anyone was watching.

Christmas Day 2011

I'm not sure exactly what I'm doing wrong when uploading pictures, but I just can't get them to go where I want them to go. The pictures are totally out of order!

We did have a wonderful Christmas morning. Hayden was up by 5:30. He didn't listen and ran to the living room without us. I was disappointed I didn't get to see his reaction to what Santa brought but I am glad he was excited. I made the boys wait until about 6:00 before we woke sleeping beauty. :) Addyson needs her beauty sleep.

Addyson liked her scooter but it has taken her awhile to learn how to ride it. She initially wanted to put both feet on it and expected it to just go. :) She enjoyed opening her presents. Hayden would keep running to his room to play in between opening a present. We struggled keeping him with the family.

After opening presents we ate a not so good Christmas breakfast. I was in a hurry to get everything done and breakfast just didn't get cooked enough. Then we all got dressed for church! Later that afternoon after much needed naps we headed to Mama Jo's house for supper.

Hayden loved his scooter but now a week later I find him riding Addyson's scooter more because of the third wheel hers has.

Christmas Eve Breakfast

I am having a hard time formatting this post!! A couple days before Christmas Addyson had a Christmas party at her school. Addyson wasn't feeling well and didn't really participate. I took her to the doctor after the party to find out that she had a double ear infection and Hand Foot & Mouth disease. Luckily, she did get better by Christmas eve when we went to Granny Orr's for breakfast.
I got a picture a cute picture of Hayden and Addyson with Dede and Poppy. I love that both Hayden and Addyson made the same shirt at their schools even though they go separate places.

We did get to open presents after eating a wonderful breakfast! I just forgot to take many pictures. Grant has the video to back me up. :)

Afternoon with the Tapp's

Sunday, December 18th I took the kids after church to Slaughters to visit with my extended family. We had a wonderful lunch thanks to Cindy.

This was the look on Addyson's face when she realized Santa was coming to visit her. I hadn't taken her to visit him because she is usually very nervous around such characters, but I guess I don't need to worry anymore.

Hayden also felt very comfortable talking to him and was even lucky enough to have Santa bring him a present.

Addyson was very interested in his beard and told him that she wanted candy and a baby doll for Christmas.

Hayden had fun playing with Gavin. They really play so well together. It doesn't hurt that they both are crazy over tractors and such!

Both Hayden and Addyson really enjoyed playing with Aunt Jo.

Christmas with the Orr's

The Saturday before Christmas we can always be found at Dede and Poppy's house to celebrate Christmas. You can see there was one very excited little girl! We had a wonderful meal of turkey and dressing :) and all the fixings.

After we ate we opened presents. Addyson received a play piano and microphone. I am sad to say the batteries have already gone out on the microphone. :) Hayden opened some pretty cool remote control buldozer and dump truck.

Fun was had by all young and old alike.

The kids loved to boxes almost as much as the presents themselves, especially if Uncle Anthony will lift them.

I forget exactly what Addyson was doing to Anothony but she found it quite amusing!

Gavin's Birthday Party

A couple of Saturday's ago we traveled to Sebree for Gavin's Birthday party. We had a wonderful time!!
The pictures are all backwards but it is better than nothing! Grant helped cook the hotdogs.

Hayden and Addyson got to ride a horse. Hayden really enjoyed riding with Gavin. Grant wanted me closer to them in case Hayden fell. So after the picture I walked around with them.

Hayden and Gavin enjoyed the hay ride. They got to eat candy the whole way!

Addyson really like the rabbit!

This was absolutely Hayden's favorite part of the birthday party. He asked if we could have some sand so Santa could bring this toy to him. :)

More Halloween!

Precious Adalee is growing so fast. She made the cutest little puppy dog.

The Saturday before Halloween we went to Sebree for Gavin's birthday's party. More about that later. Adalee had fun hanging out with Hayden. Addyson didn't want her picture with these two.

She wanted her picture was Abby! :)

Addyson does love having her picture made.

We read stories to the kids every night, but for some reason Grant got the camera out a couple of nights ago and took a picture. I feel fortunate that they both love reading already.

Halloween Parties

Both kids had Halloween parties this year. Thankfully they were on different days at different times. We knew Hayden's best buddy Jack was going to be a pirate but we didn't realize until that morning that they had they exact same costume.

Hayden's class gets to trick or treat in each classroom. I'm lucky my Mom was there this day to help me with Fall Festival and Hayden's party. I actually got to be apart of his day.

After trick-or-treating around the school Hayden participated in three different activities. The first one was decorating a pumpkin with stickers. The second was sorting marshmallows by color and shape, and the third was listening to a scary book.

Addyson's party was on Halloween. We had a little mishap with her costume. Grant accidentally took it to work and forgot to leave it at school. Luckily, he was able to leave work early so she was able to have it. Parents weren't allowed to attend the first part of the party but we got to take a group photo and then go trick-or-treating around a local business.

Grant even had his own Halloween party. Hayden sure got a kick out of him dressing up as Captain Jack Sparrow. :)

Gatlinburg (Oct 4-8)

Yes, I know I haven't posted in a month. And no it isn't because I haven't taken pictures. We have been so busy that I haven't had time to take the pictures off my computer.

I'm not going to say a lot about our trip except that it was amazing. We weren't planning on taking a trip, but Grant had unexpected time off so we decided we would take an unexpected vacation!! Some of the things we did while we were there were Dollywood, Dixie Stampede, and the Aquarium.

Hayden actually was able to go down at the Dixie Stampede and chase chickens! He wasn't shy at all and ran around trying to catch them. I was so proud!!!
